Lake Oahe, South Dakota
Earlier this fall I was out hunting near Mobridge, SD. Residents there said that they had almost no snow all winter and the lake was iced over firm enough for fishing.
Anybody ever ice sailed on this lake? Have heard that resevoirs can be treacherous. Locals indicated otherwise.

Yes we have made a trip out to Lake Oahe. Great day of sailing and about the best prime rib ever. Day two we where greated by 8 inches of snow and a north wind of aproximately 40. Hard to find anyone to sail with but really great conditions for a large portion of the winter.

Lake Oahe has more North / South coastline than California...
It shouldn't be hard to find some clear ice... there are few folks there who can provide reliable ice reports
