800+ miles

What about Buffalo? It's a whole lot closer than Fergus.

800+ miles ?

Closer for who? In Fergus I get to sleep in my own bed.

At this moment, Buffalo is in liquid phase. We have people watching it freeze at this very moment... but,... it seems premature to make an ice report, and until it's skimmed over, predict when there will be suitable ice thickness.

Additionally, we're checking other lakes while it's still light.

closer for everyone else

you're the only one with their own bed in fergus...

but the fact is there will be more ice further north... i like lots of ice... but another 2-3hrs north is what it takes to get to some thicker ice.

brainerd got 4" of snow...
cool site about snow depths...

closer?

Here's the way I see it...

I'm out checking ice, I could have sailed to Christina from Fergus, there's so much ice on the roads.

If somebody else wants to go someplace farther from my bed, closer to theirs, they should be out checking ice right now as well. :)

There's 50 lakes that deserve a drive by and lookie lookie... the Milepost 8 contingent is doing their share.
