The snow was too firm in the morning when we had wind, by the time the snow softened in the late afternoon the wind died...fortunately the wind picked back up about 6:45pm and we sailed till we couldn't see.

We have finally gotten snow skates that work great and steer great !! We slotted the boards and let the skate go thru about an inch for steering and in case they touched the ice !

_ I TOLD YOU SO! Those of you that didn't come down/over/up really missed some fantastic sailing, especially Sunday. 13 racer-types ran laps while another dozen boats played elsewhere: DN, Nite, Renegade, Arrow and Gambit designs were all sailing. Al Bates brought his own design and sailed both Saturday and Sunday. My Skimmer stayed home all alone. Room on Wawasee? 3,400 acres, 4-1/2 miles long! Ya Should'a Come! Gull Lake and TIYC were represented, even Paul Goodwin himself sailed our "little" lake. Watch the weather for this coming weekend! Might be even better...

No problem sailing with the snow cover...winds 5-7 gusting 11 or 12mph for a good part of the late afternoon
